The Butere Miracle Centre had a vision to address the educational needs of its community and so has established its own Christian primary school, the Butere Miracle Academy, with the goal of raising up a new generation of Christian leaders for Kenya and the world.  

Unfortunately, the families of many of the local children in Butere are unable to afford any sort of tuition. In this AIDS-effected area, many children are either orphaned or dependent on single parents. In an environment where meeting basic needs is a daily struggle, having the opportunity to attend school is a dream come true. 

From its inception, the Butere Miracle Academy has been enrolling and financially supporting as many indigent children as it can.  But the church's resources are severely limited.  That's where the Child Sponsorship Program administered by Rainbow Christian Missions comes in.  By matching sponsors with needy children, we are affording many children the opportunity to receive a quality education, in effect giving them hope and, in a very real way, changing their lives.

Funds received for a specific child go directly to the Butere Miracle Centre to cover the costs of the child's education. 
This includes costs for:
*  Teachers' and administrators' pay
*  Maintenance and utilities for the school buildings
*  Books and supplies for the classroom
*  Breakfast tea, lunch and a snack in the afternoon
*  One uniform consisting of a shirt and pants (boys) or a dress (girls)

Don't want to take on the ongoing responsibility of sponsoring a specific child but still want to be a part of this wonderful mission?  General contributions can still be made to RCM to cover unexpected expenses at the school (e.g. medical care for a child who becomes ill and whose parents cannot afford treatment), to help cover the costs to administer the program (postage, newsletters, pictures, supplies, etc.) or to meet the child's personal needs.
